Cohoctah Township will be hosting its annual 4th of July Parade on Friday monring, starting at 11am. Organizers bill it as “The parade so nice you see it twice!’ which means that it proceeds along a route through the small town of Cohoctah until reacing the end, then returns to the starting point. That route is located on Cohoctah Road, east of Oak Grove Road and it goes east and then heads back to the west.
Community Fun Events will be held prior to the parade, from 10-11am. These kid-friendly activities are free and will include pony rides, face painting, a game area, a bounce house, balloon animals and more! Also, come browse the craft vendors, silent auction and be entertained by an ELVIS tribute artist.
A kid’s bike decorating contest will be part of the parade and prizes for winning parade participants. Craft vendors, silent auction items, and parade entries are needed. Call the hall at (517) 546-0655 for more information and or visit us online for forms and updates.
