Webberville FFA Chapter members compete in various District competitions

The Webberville FFA set off for the District Leadership Contest on Thursday, Jan. 30th. There were a total of nine participants from the local Chapter in the various competitions.
Freshman Rachel Newsom competed in the Creed Contest, receiving gold, and is an alternate to Regionals. Sophomores Shawna Davis and Cecilia Bedwell did a demonstration about how to splint a calf, and received silver. Junior Ethan West participated in prepared speaking, received gold, and is an alternate to Regionals.
Juniors Hunter Pendell and Matthew Howery did the Job Interview Contest, earning bronze and silver respectively. Nathan West (Freshman), Jonah Spencer (Sophomore), and Gavin Howery (Junior) competed in the Demonstrations Contest. They demonstrated the process of making goat soap and received gold. This group will be advancing to Regionals.
All these students put in hard work, determination and grit. Districts was a complete success, and we cannot wait to see what Regionals has in store.
