 Daniel G. Roberts

Daniel G. Roberts, age 82, was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus on February 1st in Brighton, Michigan surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Daniel, or Dan as he was better known, was born in Williamston, Michigan and grew up in Fowlerville, Michigan as one of four children born to Clemence and Vivian Roberts. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged. After his service to his country, he was employed as a Plumber with Metz & Weiand and then moved to General Motors (where he was known as Rabbit) for the better part of 30years until his retirement. He owned and operated his own local Plumbing Business, D & S Roberts and Son and served the community with an honest heart and an unmatched work ethic.

On March 19, 1965, he married the love of his life Sharon M. U’Ren in Webberville, Michigan. They would have celebrated 60 years together this March. They made their lives in Fowlerville raising their five children: Michelle, Danielle, Angelia, Daniel, and Rebekah. He had a deep love for God, enjoyed camping in his motor home, the Detroit Tigers and spending time with his family.

Dan is survived by his loving wife Sharon, children Michelle (Kraig) Sacker, Danielle (Daniel) Hoonhorst, Angelia (Steven) Ward, Daniel C.K. Roberts Jr. (Kim), and Rebekah (Scott) Butts. Lovingly known as PaPa, he will be deeply missed by his treasured grandchildren Alyssa, Bronsyn, Jacob, Jessica, Pheobe, Gavin, Madison, Matthew, Keegan, Sydni, Kadin, and Kaleb. He is also survived by his brother Wayne Roberts and sister Scarlet Roberts. He was preceded in death by his father Clemence, his mother Vivian, and his brother James Roberts.

To honor his life of love and giving, in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his memory to K9s for Warriors at this link k9sforwarriors.org.

We will miss his always joyful heart and his amazing talent to whistle through life.

May you continue to inspire us:

To enter each day with a generous heart.

To serve the call of courage and love

Until we see your beautiful face again

In that land where there is no more separation,

Where all tears will be wiped from our mind,

And where we will never lose you again.
