Local CROP Hunger Walk taking place on October 8
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by religious groups, businesses, schools and others to raise funds to end hunger in the U.S. and around the world.
This year’s Howell/Hartland/Fowlerville CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, October 8. The five-mile route through Howell, which includes a portion along the lakeshore, starts at First Presbyterian Church. Registration opens at 1:30, and the walk begins at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion. Pets are welcome as long as droppings are picked up.
