Webberville Library to host Painting Workshop on May 6
By Head Librarian Peg Mawby
There are a surprising number of aspiring artists in the Webberville area. Last fall Capital Area District Libraries’ Webberville branch hosted an art instructor from Grand Haven to teach a class on acrylic painting to a group of twenty. Everyone enjoyed the class very much and all were interested in the possibility of future courses.
I am happy to announce that we have another class scheduled. Taught by an instructor from Painterly Pottery Studios, “Fundamentals of Watercolor” will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. Space is very limited so call us at 517-521-3643 to reserve a spot. The class is free with all supplies provided.
While you wait, check out a book on using watercolors to get in the mood. CADL has a wide selection of books on painting techniques, some available in digital format. Browse the collection at cadl.org/catalog.
Capital Area District Libraries’ Webberville branch is located at 115 S. Main Street in Webberville. For more information, call 517-521-3643 or visit cadl.org.

Participants at last year’s painting workshop pose with their finished artwork. CADL Webberville will host another free workshop on Saturday, May 6.
