Livingston County Habitat for Humanity holding special event April 21
“Home is the Key" is the theme of Livingston County Habitat for Humanity’s signature event on Friday, April 21. The event begins at 6 p.m. at Camp Chaldean's beautiful lakeside setting in Brighton at 7000 McClements Road. The evening will be a night to remember with a dazzling selection of upscale strolling cuisine by Jeff Zak Catering. During dinner, you can enjoy inspecting the outstanding work of local artists and refinishers. Many of the pieces the artists and refinishers are creating will be superb examples of re-purposed and refinished items from the Habitat ReStore.
Local experts will be judging repurposed and upcycled pieces with prizes to the best professional and best amateur contestants. Guests will also choose a "People’s Choice" winner. All pieces will be auctioned at the end of the evening with a live and silent auction. Non-alcoholic beverages as well as a cash bar will be available all evening.
Entertainment for the evening includes local celebrity Frank Sternett as Barry Manilow. To navigate attendees through this memorable event is emcee, Livingston County Sheriff Mike Murphy.

Habitat is a non-profit builder with the mission of building safe, decent and affordable housing for families in need in Livingston County. This is done in a partnership with families to provide "a hand up, not a hand out" and allow the purchase of a home they would otherwise be unable to afford. It is life changing for the partner families. All the proceeds from this event go toward providing affordable housing for partner families.
