Carl James Ives
Carl James Ives, age 85, went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2016. Carl was born to Roy and Alma Ives on May 24, 1931 in Hart, Michigan. The youngest of ten children, Carl grew up to become a kind-hearted and determined man. He married Joyce Arnold on December 28, 1956 and together they built a marriage of 60 years and life on Ives Dairy Farm in Fowlerville, Michigan. Carl and Joyce were also life-time members of Conway & Perry Free Methodist Churches. Carl is survived by his wife, Joyce. His sons, Steve and Mark (Jacki), and his daughter Gwen Kato (Paul), as well as his grandchildren Carl Ives (Jr.), Kia Ives, Brad Ives, Jennifer Richardson, Jayelyn Ives, Ian Kato, Celete Kato, and his great-grandsons, Parker & Reese Richardson and Jack Ives. Carl also has 2 surviving sisters, Ruth Rohac of Owosso and Carrie Glick of Rogers, AK.
His legacy lives on in the farm he worked so hard to create and in the family to whom he modeled faithfulness, hard work, dedication, and love.
Viewing was held at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville, Michigan from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm on December 15, 2016.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 16, at 10 am with viewing before service at 9am at Herrmann Funeral Home. Followed by a graveside service at Rowley Cemetery in Williamston. pjherrmannfuneralhome.com
