 Charles Albert Rhodes

Charles Albert Rhodes, 77 of Webberville, Michigan, passed away on November 14, 2023.

Charles, fondly known as Chuck, was born to Harry and Elizabeth Rhodes on June 2, 1946 in Coldwater, Michigan. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who would go out of his way to help others. Chuck graduated from high school in Webberville, Michigan and enlisted in the Navy shortly after. During this time he met his loving wife of 53 years, whom he proposed to the first time he met her. They were later married while he was stationed in Puerto Rico and started a family after returning home. Chuck worked at Michigan State University as a PipeFitter/Welder and retired after 30 years of service.

Chuck is survived by his wife Marie and three sons Chuck, Tony (Danielle), Jason (Melissa) and grandchildren Hunter, Gage, Dylan, Kole and Isabella. He is also survived by his sister Marry Raymond and brothers Harry, John and Mike.

Chuck was known for loving the outdoors. He spent most of his time during the summer at his cottage in Traverse City, Michigan where he enjoyed friends, family and fishing. When fall would come around he would begin prepping for hunting and trapping seasons. Both were a passion of his and he passed that passion down to his children. In the winter he would enjoy cutting wood to heat his home, ice fishing and watching the grandkids play basketball, but what he loved most of all was being able to help someone that needed it. If he had something that he thought would make your life better, he would give it to you, whether it was a tool, his labor, knowledge or his love he would give it and needed nothing in return. So please help us celebrate the beautiful and blessed life of Chuck Rhodes.

The Rhodes Family hosted a funeral service on Friday, November 17th, 2023 the Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville. Viewing was 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Service began at 12:00 PM. . Burial followed at Bell Oak Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at pjherrmannfuneralhome.com
