Upcoming Programs at the Fowlerville District Library
     All programs are intended for Fowlerville School District residents. Register in-person to attend; starting the first of each month, unless otherwise stated. Adult programs include a $5 refundable cash deposit. Teen Program attendance requires a signed 2019-2020 Program Permission Form.

WEEKLY DROP-IN PROGRAMS
September is Library Card Sign up Month! Celebrate with us! Visit the Library to get a library card. While you are here, try the Toy Story crossword puzzle or grab a cute Toy Story coloring sheet. The crossword puzzle can be turned in for a prize drawing at the end of the month.

Reading to Bosco: Most Mondays at 4pm
All Ages. Bosco is a Therapy Dog-in-Training. Reading to Bosco improves literacy skills, builds fluency, and reading confidence regardless of ability. Bosco’s “Mom” Shelly has been a part of our library community for over 15 years volunteering her time and her other reading therapy dogs.

Cardio Drumming: Tuesdays at 7pm
Adults. Get your sweat on with a fun workout from instructor Kim Griffes. Please remember to bring water and wear comfy clothes. Spaces are limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. *There is a cash fee of $6 for this class if you bring your own equipment. Kit rental is additional $2 fee.

D&D and Magic the Gathering Club: Thursdays 2:30-5pm starting October 3rd
Teens 6th-12th Grades. Drop in at the Library for a fun afterschool group where you can learn more about Dungeon & Dragons role-playing game and Magic the Gathering card game. We provide the Dungeon Master, snacks and drinks… you provide the fun!

Honest Yoga at the Library: Fridays at 9:30am
Adults. Join Erin Wade RYT, owner of Honest Yoga, for Gentle Yoga at the Library. Gentle Yoga is for adults of all ages through modifications and the use of props. Please bring a mat to practice on. *There is a cash fee of $5 for this class.

REGISTER TO ATTEND
From A-Z with Mrs. D: Classes start this week. Registration is still open for Wednesday Groups
Kids ages 2-4 & an adult helper.  This hands-on preschool program is taught in a play-based small group setting. We still have a few spots available Wednesdays at 10 or 11am. Classes start September 24th and 25th. Winter Break starts December 17th and 18th. *Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Beyond the Book: Thursday, September 26th at 6:30pm
Adults. While this is an established “Book & Movie” group that meets monthly; new members are welcome! Read Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte on your own at home, watch the movie as a group, and then let the discussion begin! *One book per household will be given while supplies last. *Registration opened August 30th.

Pop-Up Library: Teen Edition: Tuesday, October 1st at the High School and Wednesday, October 2nd at the Junior High during All Lunches
Teens 6th-12th Grades. We’re coming to your school! Students can get an FDL Library Card; check in and out FDL books; get help with the Axis 360 app or the RB Digital Magazine app; and register to attend cool FDL Library teen programs! Plus… we talk teen books, movies, comics, video games, and pop culture with students. See you there!

Walk to End Alzheimer’s: Saturday, October 5th Walk starts at 9:30am Check-in starts 9am
Adults. Join the Library’s team, Game of Strolls, and walk at the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The walk takes place at the Brighton Mill Pond. The purpose is to raise funds for research and bring awareness of this disease that affects so many! Create a Team Game of Strolls Tie-Dye T-Shirt: Thursday, October 3rd at 7pm
Adults. First register online at www.alz.org/walk to join the Library’s team, Game of Strolls, at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Meet up at the Library with Cindy and Jen, our crafty team, to create your Team Game of Strolls Tie-Dye t-shirt. Wear your t-shirt at the walk on Saturday! All materials needed for this craft will be provided. Special registration for this craft starts September 18th.

Half-Day Hang Out: Friday, October 11th 11am-2pm
Grades 6th-12th. Join us for some half-day of school fun at the Library! We will be playing games, watching movies, and crafting! Lunch and snacks will be provided.  Registration includes an updated Program Permission Form.
