Upcoming Programs at the Fowlerville District Library
All programs are intended for Fowlerville School District residents. Register in-person to attend; starting the first of each month, unless otherwise stated. Adult programs include a $5 refundable cash deposit. Teen Program attendance requires a 2019-2020 signed Program Permission Form.

Weekly Drop-in Programs
Reading to Bosco: Most Mondays at 4pm
All Ages. Bosco is a Therapy Dog-in-Training. Reading to Bosco improves literacy skills, builds fluency, and reading confidence regardless of ability. Bosco’s “Mom” Shelly has been a part of our library community for over 15 years volunteering her time and her other reading therapy dogs.

Cardio Drumming: Tuesdays at 7pm
Adults. Get your sweat on with a fun workout from instructor Kim Griffes. Please remember to bring water and wear comfy clothes. Spaces are limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. *There is a cash fee of $6 for this class if you bring your own equipment. Kit rental is additional $2 fee.

Honest Yoga at the Library: Fridays at 9:30am
Adults. Join Erin Wade RYT, owner of Honest Yoga, for Gentle Yoga at the Library. Gentle Yoga is for adults of all ages through modifications and the use of props. Please bring a mat to practice on. *There is a cash fee of $5 fee for this class.

Beyond the Book: Thursday, August 29th
Author Interview at 4:30pm & Movie at 6:30pm
Adults. Read The Martian by Andy Weir on your own at home, then join us at 4:30pm for a special re-screening of the Library’s 2016 interview with author, Andy Weir! Followed by a pizza break, then the movie, The Martian, will begin at 6:30pm. Movie-style refreshments will be served during the movie only. *Attend either or both portions of the event. If you will be attending the pizza break, note that at registration. *One book per household will be given while supplies last.*Registration is open.

From A-Z with Mrs. D: Registration begins Wednesday, September 4th
Kids ages 2-4 & an adult helper. This hands-on preschool program is taught in a play-based small group setting. We offer four groups: Tuesdays at 10 or 11am, and Wednesdays at 10 or 11am. Classes start September 24th and 25th. Winter Break starts December 10th and 11th. *Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Homeless Mat Tutorial: Thursday, September 12th at 7pm
Adults. Join Cindy and Jen, the Library’s very own crafty team, to learn how you can help with this popular community service program. Our team will teach participants how to complete each stage of the project, from making ‘plarn’ to crocheting. A size N crochet hook is needed if crocheting. No crochet experience needed.there are opportunities to be included for all! *Registration opens September 3rd.

Tea & Chocolate Writers Group: Wednesdays at 2:30pm September 18th—November 20th
Adults. Do you want feedbackon your work-in-progress from other writers? Are you interested in honing your creative writing skills through weekly exercises? This writing group is for you! Feel free to bring a 1-page sample of a current project for feedback. *This group is limited to 8 participants. Registration opens September 3rd.

Family Scratch Art Program: Wednesday September 18th 5:30pm
Kids K-5th grades and an adult helper. We will read the children’s book, Sweet Dreamer, by Isabelle Simler and create original scratch art based on the book. Enjoy other hands-on activity stations at this family event. *Registration opens September 3rd.

Downton Abbey Tea & Trivia: Thursday, September 19th at 7pm
Adults. Celebrate the release of the highly anticipated Downton Abbey movie debut with an English-style tea party at the Library. Brush up on your Downton Abbey facts and come ready to compete! *Registration opens September 3rd.

Adults. While this an established “Book & Movie” group that meets monthly; new members are welcome! Read Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronteon your own at home, watch the movie as a group, and then let the discussion begin! *One book per household will be given while supplies last.*Registration opens August 30th.
