PATH (Personal Action Toward Health): Mondays (August 19 – September 30 with Labor Day off) from 12:30 – 3:00 pm. PATH is designed to provide skills and tools to help those with long-term health problems live a healthier life. It is a highly recommendedfun and interactive 6-week workshop led by certified leaders. There is no charge, but pre-registration is required.
Grief Share: Sundays (September 15 – December 15) from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. This faith-based seminar/support group is for anyone grieving the loss of someone close. You will find it to be a warm, caring environment that includes encouraging, information-packed videos featuring leading grief recovery experts. A workbook is provided both for notetaking and for use between sessions. There is no fee.
Community-Wide Women’s Bible Study – The Best Yes: Making Wise Decisions in the Midst of Endless Demands with Lysa Terkeurst. There will be two options: Mondays (August 19 – September 30 with Labor Day off) from 6:30 – 8:00 pm or Wednesdays (August 21 – September 25) from 9:30 – 11:00 am. Do you find yourself spending a lot of time figuring out when to say “yes” and when to say “no”, thinking about how to manage your time, reduce stress, do your best for your family and still find a little time for yourself? In this 6-session video-based study, Lysa uses her signature mix of transparency, Scripture-laced insight and “been there” humor to suggest usable strategies for making wise decisions day by day. Total cost for both her book of the same name and the Participant’s Guide will be $15, but scholarships are available. Call today to register for either class.
Living Proof Live Simulcast, a global Bible-teaching event featuring Beth Moore with worship led by Travis Cottrell and the Praise Team: Saturday, September 28 from 9:15 am – 4:15 pm. Cost is $20 (includes a delicious lunch & special door prizes), but scholarships are available. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited, so sign up early! And invite a friend… or two or more. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
Coming in the fall: Love & Logic Parenting classes, the newest Bible study by Lisa Terkeurst entitled It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way, another offering of our very popular Matter of Balance seminar, after-school tutoring for Fowlerville elementary students, and more.
