John Allen Eisenhauer
1946 - 2019
John Allen Eisenhauer, son of the late Jack and Marion (Gray) Eisenhauer, was born September 16, 1946, in Port Huron, Michigan. On April 18, 2019, John went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was 72 years, 7 months, and 2 days of age. John married Phyllis Walburg on October 30, 1988, in Traverse City, Michigan. He was a longtime Howell resident.
He was a man who never met a stranger. He loved to talk about anything and everything, but mainly his love for the Lord. John loved his wife and family dearly. He instilled the importance of hard work and following God in his children and grandchildren. He, like his Father, was the person you would go to if you needed prayer.
John could wheel and deal with the best of them. He was a charmer. He loved to tinker and could fix just about anything. Some of his favorite things were barbecuing and perfecting popcorn.  John left a legacy of love that those who knew him will cherish and carry with them. We can find peace and comfort knowing that he is now safe at home with Jesus.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by one grandson, Aaron DeVries.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Phyllis; four sons, Gary Eisenhauer and his wife, Elisa, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Daniel Eisenhauer and his wife, Sandy, of Oak Hills, California, Glen Eisenhauer and his wife, Charmi, of Kingsley, Michigan, and John D. Eisenhauer and his wife, Andrea, of Tucson, Arizona; two daughters, Melanie Kopacz and her husband, John, of Mtn. House, California, and Gwen Stokes of Kingsley, Michigan; five step-children that he loved as his own,  Butch DeVries and his wife, Deb, of Charlevoix, Michigan, LuAnn DeKraker of Big Piney, Wyoming, Sherri Northrup and her husband, Gerry, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Barb Lashmit and her husband, John, of Charlevoix, Michigan, and Kathie Sprague and her husband, Rick, of Charlevoix, Michigan; one brother, Frank Eisenhauer of Modesto, Illinois; two sisters, Marianne Porter of Greenville, Tennessee, and Vicki Nichols and her husband, Donald, of Howell, Michigan; twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Wehr Ford, their church families and friends for their help and support during this difficult time.
Memorial services for John were held this past Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Mountain Grove, Missouri, with Pastor Josh Griffith officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in care of the funeral home. Services are under the direction and care of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home. The family is planning a Celebration of Life for John in Northern Michigan in June of this year.
