Donald “Doc” Langdon
    Donald “Doc” Langdon passed away Wednesday April 17, 2019. He was born April 24, 1922 in Middleton, Michigan to Glenn and Audrey Langdon.  Doc joins the love of his life, Helen (Whitmore) Langdon (who passed away September 2016). They shared 74 years of marriage.  
      He is survived by their son Larry; daughter Diana (Anspach) and their grandchildren: Matt, Mark, Dawn and Christina, and ten great-grandchildren: Chase, Carson, Athen, Karina, Gracie, Jeven, Caleb, Joey, Elizabeth and Agnes. 
     Doc graduated from Carson City in 1940 and went on to study Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, graduating in 1946. In 1949 Doc and Helen moved to Fowlerville, joining a partnership with Dr. Merlin Eggleston and later established Fowlerville Veterinary Clinic and there raised their children.  He was an active member of the Rotary Club for many years. Doc was a pilot and enjoyed flying small planes, often for Dawn Patrol. Doc thoroughly enjoyed woodworking, painting, golfing and relaxing at their cottage on the Manistee River where he enjoyed fishing. 
     He and Helen enjoyed their life in Fowlerville where he retired, and sold Vet Clinic in 1978, from there they spent time traveling and enjoying their family. 
    Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville, with Pastor Jeff Howard officiating.  A private committal will take place on Thursday, April 25.  Online condolences may be expressed at pjherrmannfuneralhome.com
