Livingston Centre Historic Village Committee to meet on Feb. 7
The Livingston Centre Historic Village Committee monthly meetings will resume on the first Thursday of the month, Feb. 7, at 7:00 p.m. inside the Fowlerville Fairgrounds Office.
Discussion will include the tentative schedule for the 2019 activities.  Items within each building continue to be cataloged, and building repairs continue in order of priority; goals for fundraising to support these will be outlined.  Efforts toward member recruitment resume as the group returns from winter respite.  New members are always welcome; the group continues to look for anyone interested in preserving and restoring the buildings of the Historic Village inside the Fowlerville Fairgrounds.
Primary dates for the year have already been set:
    --Annual Grandma's Attic Sale on May 16 - 18,
--Fowlerville Family Fair---the week of July 22, and
--Fall Fest, currently planned for Sept. 14.
Members are already accepting donations for the Grandma's Attic Sale; it is the largest of the annual fundraising events.  Please remember the Historic Village as you downsize, organize, minimize, streamline, and clean out your homes:  closets and cupboards, basements and attics, garages and sheds, and storage units.  Many of your no-longer-wanted but useful and good-condition items are welcomed:  clothing, furniture, kitchen and household items, floor and window treatments, glassware, games, books, tools, sporting goods, toys, holiday decor, jewelry and other collectibles.  Unfortunately, large appliances and most electronics cannot be accepted at this time.
If you need any help getting your donations to the sale, please contact Marj at 517-223-3831 or Mike at 734-673-1034.  Continue to watch this space for more details.
