Fowlerville’s next Music in the Park will be held on Wednesday, July 4th
Our next concert at the Centennial Park will be held on Wednesday, July 4th at 5:00 pm. The entertainment will be Blake James and The Southern Drive Band.
They are a local musical group that includes 11 year old Blake, his dad Jessy, his grandfather Dave James and a family friend, Sean Underwood. Blake has only taken lessons on the banjo but has a strong family musical influence.
Blake has played guitar and keyboard for the last several years and was featured on Channel 4 News in 2016. This appearance led to an invitation to Memphis, Tennessee to perform at the Jerry Lee Lewis Café. While he has there he took part in a showcase of fans of “The Killer” and had the honor of meeting Jerry Lee Lewis himself.
The monies Blake will receive from this concert will be matched by his parent’s local company, J-Line Trenching, and will be donated to the Family Impact Center.
So plan to come to Centennial Park on July 4th, bring your chair and listen to some great music. Then stay in town for the parade and fireworks.
