Knights of Columbus hosting sock and t-shirt drive for Veterans

One of the many things that the Knights of Columbus are involved in is the support of our Veterans. The local Knights of Columbus Council from St. Agnes Parish in Fowlerville, Michigan is doing their part to help in this important goal. We are sponsoring a sock and t-shirt drive for the Veterans at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor.

    • Over the last two weekends of October, the Knights will be accepting donations of new socks and t-shirts (unused with store tags attached). The Knights will collect all clothing donations before and after each mass. Donations can also be dropped off at the parish offices during the weeks in between.

    • On Sunday, November 2nd, we will be sponsoring a Sunday breakfast from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to aid in this clothing drive. A free will donation is asked of all who join us at breakfast. All net proceeds from the breakfast will go towards the purchase of additional socks and t-shirts.

The VA is currently seeing their patient load at 90% male and 10% female. Men’s sizes should be between medium and extra-large. Women’s sizes should be between small and large. The collected socks and t-shirts will be donated to the Ann Arbor VA between Veteran’s Day and the Thanksgiving Holiday.

So please join us in our goal of helping our Veterans. Donate socks or t-shirts at St. Agnes Parish offices during the last two weeks of October or after each weekend mass. Then plan on joining us for a wonderful breakfast on November 2nd.
