Joan Harriet Steele
Joan Harriet Steele passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on January 31, 2024. Joan was born July 16, 1936 to Harry and Omadell Wagner, she was 1 of 9 children.
Joan had 4 beautiful daughters: Brenda, Donna, Sandy and Tammy; 9 grandchildren: Eric, Tracy, Ronica, Jeremy, Craig, Nicole, Shawn, Kelly and Brandon; 21 great-grandchildren, and her best friend Angie Plotts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings John, Jake, Wanda, Lorraine, Phyliss, Patricia and her 2 youngest daughters Sandy and Tammy, and her granddaughter Taylor. She is survived by 2 of her sisters Merna and Caroline, her 2 daughters Brenda and Donna, along with the numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Joan resided in Fowlerville most of her life and after retiring from her job started a home daycare where dozens of children became a piece of her heart and referred to her as Grandma Joan. Her greatest love was family, children, Elvis, Disney and her garden.
Joan was known for her strength, heart and amazing sense of humor. She was the rock of the family and would help anyone in need, whether it was for a meal, safe place to stay or a pep talk.
A memorial service will be held February 11th at the VFW in Fowlerville Michigan at 2pm.
