Carnegie Howell Library holding Melon Fest Book Sale August 17-21
The Carnegie Library in Howell is holding a Melon Fest Book Sale Thursday, August 17 thru Monday, August 21 in the Meabon Room on the lower level. Thursday is for Friends of the Library members only from 4:30-7pm, but with memberships available at the door. The General Public is invited the followng three days during regular hours. Thousands of books: from 25 cents (kids), 50 cents for small paperbacks, and $1.00 for hard-cover books, CDs and DVDs.

Euchre Night at the Howell Opera House is being held Thursday, August 17th. The Opera House is located at 123 W. Grand River.. Doors open at 5:45 pm for check in - 6:30 pm time to DEAL. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Admission is $22 with a 40-person maximum. Howell Melon Festival holding Car Show on Saturday, August 19th
The Howell Melon Festival is holding a Car Show on Saturday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 P.M. on Grand River Ave, in front of the historic Courthouse. Come enjoy the camaraderie of fellow vintage car enthusiasts, and experience Howell's Melon Festival at the same time. Cost for participants is $10 in advance and $15 the day of. All proceeds benefit the Howell Depot Museum.
Livingston Family Emergency Readiness Expo being held August 26th
The Livingston Family Emergency Readiness Expo is being held on Saturday, August 26, from 9:00am-5:00pm at the LESA Building, 1425 W. Grand River Ave. Howell. We will have vendors with emergency information and materials, 16 free expert speakers and free resources for families. Expo admission is free for visitors. We hope to see you there!
