Edward John Kaiser
Edward John Kaiser, age 84, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Geer AFC Home in Fowlerville. He was born the only child of Daniel and Gail Kaiser on August15, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant and was a lifelong resident of Fowlerville. He was a devoted member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and never missed a daily prayer. Ed enjoyed going to church, playing the organ, music and gardening. He gifted those around him with his skills in baking and painting.
Surviving are his cousins Lil Betz of Paulding, OH, William (Shirley) Straley of Van Wert, OH, David (Elizabeth) Straley, Ron Sesney, Kathy (Greg) Gorrell all of Ft. Wayne, as well as numerous more distant cousins he remembered well. His closest family was truly those he lived with for many years at Geer AFC Home, including his caregivers: Margaret “Peg” Geer and family. He is also survived by his guardian: Kim (Scott) Niblack.
He was preceded in death by his father: Daniel E. in 1985 and his mother: Gizilla T. “Gail” (Majoro) Kaiser in 1988, Aunts and Uncles and first cousins John Betz, Ed (Carol) Straley, Rosella Sesney, John and Andrew Buku,and his previous guardian: Mary (Gale) Dillingham. All who knew Ed will miss his smiles, prayers and routines.
His astute observations about the world helped everyone see things a little bit differently. He lived his life as an authentic child of God with innocence, exuberance and joy. Those who knew him were made better for the time spent with him and he will be in our hearts forever.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Fowlerville with Fr. Nathaniel Sokol officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fowlerville. Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. www.EstesLeadley.com.
