Gage Ronald Rajala
Gage Ronald Rajala, 28, of Fowlerville, died June 26, 2019. He was born September 20, 1990 in Southfield MI, the son of Rodney and Carol (Ramos) Rajala. He attended Fowlerville schools and graduated from Fowlerville High School in 2008, where he was a member of the football program, track and field team, and the rugby club. He also graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Science for Packaging Engineering and Design. He played an essential role at the family construction company, Rajala and Son’s Finishes, as a valuable employee and team leader.
To say Gage was an avid outdoorsman is an understatement. Gage loved to hunt and fish, most particularly duck hunting and stream fishing. He loved to share his passion for the outdoors with other people, especially when it came to mentoring the youth. His heart matched his size.
Gage is survived by his parents Rodney and Carol of Gaylord, his brother Joseph (Lorena), sisters Rachael (Benjamin), Abbigail, and Samantha, grandmothers Julia Ramos and Nancy Rajala. He is also survived by his niece Hadley Rajala and his nephews Carter Rajala, and Lane Rajala. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Gage was preceded in death by his grandfathers Ronald Rajala and Phillip Ramos.
Funeral services and visitation was held Monday, July 1, in Fowlerville at the United Brethren Church. Visitation began at 10 a.m. followed immediately after by a service at 11:00 a.m. The family welcomed Gage’s family and friends who attended. Arrangements were handled by Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville. Online condolences may be expressed at pjherrmannfuneralhome.com
