Bernice (Bernie) Vealey
   Bernice (Bernie) Vealey, age 81, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her home in Williamston on September 25, 2018. She was born on November 29, 1936 to Joseph and Louise McArdle in Chandler Township, MI. Bernie and husband Frank Vealey previously owned the Bif’s Grocery in Webberville. 
    She was active with the Blue Star Mothers, American Legion Post 296, charter member and Past Worthy President of the Williamston Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 4091 and a member of St Mary’s Parish all in Williamston. She loved flower and vegetable gardening. She also enjoyed cooking for others, canning, quilting, and making her own wine.
     She was predeceased by her parents, brothers: Jim, Bob, Joe, Dale, and Leo McArdle, sisters: Helen Hyzer and Doris Dean, son-in-law: Gene Cebula, “Daughter”: Julie McManaman Martell, beloved husband: Frank Vealey and her first born: Glenn P. Davis. 
    Survivors include children: Beth Davis, April Cebula both of Dansville, Diane (Kevin) Webster, Bob (Carolyn Grabarczyk) Davis, Tom Davis all of Williamston, Tracy (Dennis) Putman of Charlotte, Barry (Jennifer) Davis and Joyce (Ryan) Goetz both of Webberville. Her sisters: Joan Blome of Bad Axe, MI and Audrey Galbraith of Jacksonville, NC and former husband, father of her children, Carl W. Davis. Bernie also had many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many awesome friends. She will be sorely missed. 
    Visitation was held on Friday, Sept. 28, from 4-8 p.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home, Fowlerville.  Funeral Mass took place on Saturday, Sept. 29, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Williamston.  Burial followed at Alchin Farms Cemetery in Webberville.
