Crossroads United Methodist Church collecting hygiene kits for UMCOR
Everyone can be a part of helping disaster survivors in this country by joining with Crossroads United Methodist Church in a new mission outreach project.
Starting now and continuing through mid-May, the church will collect items for hygiene kits to be shipped to distribution centers and sent to disaster sites in the nation by the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).  Those sites include areas recovering from recent hurricanes, floods and wildfires.  Supplies also will be built up ready for use in coming storm and fire seasons.
Crossroads is collecting the items prior to a work bee at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, when they will be assembled and packaged for shipment to UMCOR.  The church is located at the corner of Haslett and Zimmer roads, east of Haslett and north of Williamston.
Very specific, but inexpensive items are needed.  To participate, please contact the church for the items requested, and for drop-off days and times. Donations also are welcome for the project.
You may call the church at 517/655-1466, email at office.umccrossroads@gmail.com, or find the church on Facebook.
