St. John's Lutheran to host 20th Annual Pig-N-Corn Roast Aug. 27
    The community is welcome to enjoy good food and fellowship under the big tent at St. John's Lutheran Church's twentieth annual Pig-N-Corn Roast on Saturday, August 27. Dinner will begin being served at 5:00 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. The menu will include: coal-roasted pork, coal-roasted sweet corn, baked beans, cole slaw, rolls and dessert.
     Continuing in the long tradition, diners are encouraged to share a free-will donation for the meal. The proceeds of the meal will benefit three causes:
    1) St. John's Personal Needs Pantry, which in partnership with Love INC of Livingston County, helps to supply products to people who need occasional products for cleaning and hygiene;
    2) The Fowlerville High Marching Band uniform fund; and
    3) the fund to restore an historic, leaded glass window in St. John's 88-year old sanctuary.
     The congregation thanks the greater community for their continued support of this event and looks forward to serving you. If you have questions, call 517-223-9108 or www.stjohnsfowlerville.org.
