Singing Auctioneer to perform for third year at Webberville United Methodist 
    Webberville United Methodist Church is pleased to announce that the Singing Auctioneer Dane Bailey will be back in town for another rousing performance of his Southern Gospel on Saturday Sept. 10.  
    The family and community friendly event will start at 4 p.m. with a pie and cake auction. Parishioners will show off their baking talents and Dane, who is a true auctioneer, will bring the bidding to a fevered pitch. Proceeds will benefit church ministries. The auction will be followed by a potluck.  
    At 7 p.m. Dane Bailey, who is known for his wholesome and entertaining ministry, will take center stage filling the church sanctuary with his smooth and deep voice. The community is again invited to join in the fun. Admission is free.  
    In 1969 Dane felt a call to the ministry. In 1975 Dane started seminary at Grace Theological Seminary, Winona Lake, IN and that fall did his first concert. He has been traveling, ministering, and entertaining ever since. He also traveled with a gospel quartet for approximately four years.    
    In 2006, Dane was honored with an invitation to sing at the "Pageant of Peace," an annual event held at the National Christmas Tree on the ellipse near the Whitehouse in Washington, DC. 
     In 2001 Dane was able to take another step in his music career by stepping out as a full time singer-recording artist. He now travels throughout the United States doing over one hundred concerts and averaging about 15,000 miles a year. He has fourteen recordings and 2 live concert DVD to his credit.
