 3rd annual Red Cedar River Day being held at McCormick Park on Sept. 7th

    The 3rd annual Red Cedar River Day will be Sunday Sept. 7 ; 10am - 4pm at McCormick Park in Williamston. This will be a day of appreciation of the Red Cedar River .

    The day will feature Kayak/Canoe Sprint Races (register by 10:30am) and kayak rentals for a river paddle. Also on hand will be river-themed artists, education booths, and river oral history recording. The Michigan DNR will have a "fish plant" from the Fisheries Division, off the Putnam Street Bridge at noon. Guided History Walks offered at 1:30 and 3pm, featuring the riverfront, mill history, and park and garden history. Music will be performed by the ‘Cover Girls’ and ‘The Red Cedar River Boys’.
