Violet Louise Wakeman
On October 4, 2023 Violet Louise Wakeman passed from this life peacefully at her home in Fowlerville, Michigan. She was born October 18, 1926 in Fenton Michigan to David and Ethel Reynolds. She was preceded in her death by her parents, her sisters Lucille and Francis, her son Mark and husband Kenneth.
She married her high school sweetheart, Ken, on August 11, 1946. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Ken and Vi were actively involved in their churcc—First Baptist of Fowlerville. Through the years they enjoyed several trips, wintering in their Florida home, camping with friends and being with their grandchildren. She wrote many poems and was asked to write for special occasions. Her faith in God was evident to all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (James) Canfield, sons Martin (Janice) Wakeman, William (Deborah) Wakeman and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville on Sunday, Oct. 8, from 4-7 pm.
Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Fowlerville on Monday, Oct. 9, with visitation at 10 am and the service at 11 am. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
