Kenneth Albert Wakeman
    Kenneth Albert Wakeman, age 91, longtime resident of Fowlerville, Michigan went to be with his precious Lord and Savior on Nov. 20, 2019. He was born on March 28, 1928 in Hartland, Michigan to Martin Albert and Eva Epley Wakeman.
   Surviving him are his loving wife of 73 years, Violet Louise Reynolds Wakeman and three children: Kathleen (Rev. Jim) Canfield of Buckley, Michigan; Martin ‘Rusty’ (Janice) Wakeman of Webberville, Michigan, William (Debbie) Wakeman of Webberville, Michigan; and an “adopted” daughter, Scarlet Roberts of Fowlerville, Michigan. Also survivng him are one brother: Dale (Sue) Wakeman of Davison, Michigan; sister-in-law: Judy Wakeman of Saginaw, Michigan; 10 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
   Preceding him in death were his son, Mark Allen Wakeman and a granddaughter, Alison Beth Wakeman. Also preceding him were sisters, Carol Bannerman and Mary Wakeman; and a brother, Harold Wakeman.
   Kenneth graduated from Hartland High School in 1945. He worked as a farmer, a foreman and timber buyer for Thureson Lumber Co. in Howell, Michigan, and a life and health insurance salesman for Mutual Security Life Insurance Co., a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier in Fowlerville; and a substitute school bus driver in Fowlerville.
   He was a member of the Planning Commission in Fowlerville and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fowlerville, holding many positions in the church.
    Visitation will be at the Herrmann Funeral Home on Grand River in Fowlerville on Sunday (11-24-19) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with services on Monday (11-25-19) at the First Baptist Church of Fowlerville at 11 a.m. Internment will be at Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
