H. LaVon Corser
    H. LaVon Corser (Norton), daughter of Alba and Halda Norton, born in Stockbridge, Michigan on March 14, 1925 was called home to heaven on Friday, October 26, 2018. LaVon went peacefully while under hospice care at the home of her granddaughter and grandson, Michelle and Gene Byers of Fenton, MI.
    A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and homemaker, LaVon was a remarkable woman. From the time her eldest daughter Mary was old enough and until her youngest daughter Susie finished, she was a 4-H leader in Handy Township, Village of Fowlerville, Michigan where she taught cooking, baking, freezing, and much more in the summer, and sewing in the winter. She also was very artistic and enjoyed decorating birthday, graduation and wedding cakes. LaVon was welcome in the home of many during her career as a Tupperware Dealer for over twenty-five years. Painting was a hobby LaVon took up in her spare time and enjoyed painting nature scenes, flowers, and buildings right up to time of passing. 
    LaVon was a Charter Member of Mason Road Baptist Church in Fowlerville where she shared her love for Christ as a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher and deaconess. She claimed John 3:16 as her life verse. The Christmas Story was her favorite Bible Story and always claimed THE HAVEN REST as her life hymn. 
    LaVon was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Harold J Corser. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Mary Louise Schuchaskie and her two brothers, Neil Norton and Ralph Norton. She is survived by her children: son, Ernest (Carolyn) Corser of Gregory, MI; daughter, Donna (Mark) Genei of Webberville, MI; daughter, Darlene (Steve) Carson of Lansing, MI; son, Harold of Lakeland, Fl and daughter, Susan (Alan) Hufstutler of Abilene, TX; sister, Priscilla Bennett of Lansing, MI; sister, Joyce Call of Fowlerville, MI and brother, Don (Pat) Norton of Webberville, MI.  She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. 
    A funeral service celebrating her life was held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11 AM at the Herrmann Funeral Home, with visitation taking place at 10 AM.
