Robert Anthony Dutkiewicz
    “I’m spending Christmas with Jesus this year,” Robert Anthony Dutkiewicz, 84, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 4, 1933 to Vincent & Florence (Targowski) Dutkiewicz and he was a 1955 graduate of Howell High School. Sixty years ago he married his sweetheart Margaret (Milett) on August 17, 1957. 
    Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Suzanne Carroll, sister and brothers-in-laws, Christine & Charles Krausemann, Jerry Karpenko, and Wilmer Clements. 
    Surviving are his wife, Margaret, children Mark (Linda) of Howell, MI., Michael (Cathy) of Wayland, MI., Mathew (Karin) of Vevay, IN., Monica (Cliff) Kiefer of Fowlerville, MI. and Martha (David) Wagner Crestwood, KY. Grandchildren: Mallory (Nicholas) Tallent, Alex (Shannon) Dutkiewicz, Caleb & McKenna Dutkiewicz and Joshua Wagner. Great grandchildren: Ezekiel and Xavier Tallent. Also survived by brother, Dennis, sisters, Patricia Karpenko and Eunice Clements, along with many nieces and nephews. 
     He served as a Howell Police Officer for 7 years, but found 30 years of enjoyment as a maintenance engineer for St. Thomas the Apostle in Ann Arbor and St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Flint. Once retired, Bob continued his love of wood working and found enjoyment with family and friends. He was a life member of the John R Day, K of C Council in Howell. And remained strong to his faith as a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville. 
    Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Herrmann Funeral Home, 1005 E. Grand River, Fowlerville. Funeral services took place on Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. Francis George officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
