Livingston Fine Art Association to meet May 27th at Cleary University
The Livingston Fine Art Association next meeting will be held Tuesday, May 27th at the Commons Building at Cleary University, Room 3. Park in Lot C. Doors open at 6:30pm, meeting begins at 7:00pm.
An instructional video “Sharing by Ricky Allman,” Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), on fundamental applications of painting people will be viewed.
Mr. Allman received his bachelor of fine arts degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a master of fine arts with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design. His paintings often appear as landscapes, cityscapes and psychological landscapes utilizing the geographical features of his childhood in the Rocky Mountains, modernist architecture and gestural abstraction.
International exhibits containing his work have taken place in Denmark, England, France, Belgium, Scotland, Morocco, Paraguay and New Zealand. A recipient of multiple awards, Mr. Allman’s work has also been exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Boston and Chicago. His art has been featured in numerous publications including the Los Angeles Times, Vice, Harvard Business, Review, Harper’s Magazine and the Kansas City Star.
