 Oak Grove United Methodist Church holding Swiss Steak Dinner & Bake Sale on Oct. 25th

    Swiss Steak Dinner and Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 6686 Oak Grove Road, Howell (5 miles north of M-59). Join us for a homemade Swiss Steak meal served with mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, vegetable, rolls & pies. No reservation necessary. A free-will donation at the door.  Livingston County Coin Club holding show on Nov. 18th at Howell Eagles Club

    The Livingston County Coin Club is holding a show on Saturday, Nov. 8th from 10am to 3pm at the Howell Eagles, located at 141 Schroeder Park Drive, at I-96 and D-19. Free admission. For more information, contact Ray Noble at 517 234-9144.

 Life Line to offer affordable health screenings at Fowlerville VFW Post on Oct. 27th

    Residents living in and around Fowlerville can learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and other chronic, serious conditions with affordable screenings by Life Line Screening. Fowlerville VFW Post 6464 will host this community event on Oct. 27th. The site is located at 215 Veterans Dr. in Fowlerville.

    Screenings can check for:

        · The level of plaque buildup in your arteries, related to risk for              cardiovascular disease, stroke and overall vascular health.

       · HDL and LDL Cholesterol levels

        · Diabetes risk

        · Kidney and thyroid function, and more

                Howell to host pair of traditional Halloween events on                                                        Oct. 18th

                                  Legend of Sleepy Howell                                   Saturday, October 18th – 3pm-5pm

    We’re excited to bring Legend of Sleepy Howell, Livingston County’s largest outdoor trick-or-treating event back to Downtown Howell!

    This year’s Legend will have FREE trick-or-treating on Clinton, Court, and Church St. There will also be Halloween and fall-themed activities including a touch a truck event!

    This long-standing community event offers a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience and helps especially those kids living in rural areas. Thank you for your support!                                                      No sign up is required, just show up the day of.

                         Headless Horseman 5K & Monster Mile                                                                 Saturday, October 18th                                                                           Monster Mile – 5:30pm | Headless Horseman 5K – 6:00pm

    The Headless Horseman 5K is BACK and SPOOKIER than ever! This dusk event will be in-person and kick-off at the corner of State and Clinton Street in beautiful Downtown Howell. Costumed participants will wind their way through the historic neighborhoods and through Scofield City Park.

    This year's race will have a rolling start with runners starting at 6 pm, you can start the race anytime between 6 pm and 6:10 pm. This will allow for participants to be spaced out at the start of the race, along the course, and at the finish line. Walkers, strollers, assistive devices, and dogs on 6ft leashes are welcome.

1 Mile Cost: $20 | 5K Cost: $35

 Calvary Church of Webberville to host Men’s Wild Game Dinner on Nov. 1st

    All men are invited to the Men's Wild Game Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 1st, from 6:00-8:00pm. Our featured speaker is Jim Evans, an avid outdoorsman, experienced hunter, and retired Pastor. Jim brings a deep passion for sharing the truths of God's Word and how they connect to the everyday experiences of men and young men.

    Each ticket includes entry into a drawing for hunting supplies and other door prizes—winners must be present to claim them. Enjoy a hearty wild game buffet with a variety of flavorful options.

    Tickets are available in advance for $15 for adults and $10 for ages 12 and under. The event is hosted by Calvary Church of Webberville at 500 N. Howard Street. With limited space, we expect it to fill up quickly.

 Webberville United Methodist Church to serve Chicken Dinner on Oct. 18th

    Webberville United Methodist Church, located 4215 E. Holt Rd., is having a ‘drive through’ Chicken Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 18th. The dinner includes two pieces oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, green beans, corn casserole, coleslaw, roll and cookies. All for $10. Dinner served 5 to 7 pm or until we run out.
