Fowlerville Community Theatre is thrilled to bring to the stage The Music Man at the Alverson Center for the Performing Arts at Fowlerville High School.
Show dates and times are as follows: Friday, May 2nd at 7pm, Saturday, May 3rd at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday, May 4th at 2pm.
Meredith Willson’s beloved musical The Music Man marches into town with toe-tapping tunes, colorful characters, and a story full of heart. Set in 1912 in the fictional River City, Iowa, the show follows fast-talking con man Harold Hill, who poses as a band leader to swindle the townspeople into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he never intends to lead.
But Harold’s plans hit a snag when he meets Marian Paroo, the sharp-witted librarian and music teacher who sees through his act. As he tries to win her over—and avoid exposure—Harold unexpectedly finds himself falling for her, and for the town itself. In the end, love, music, and community spirit triumph in this timeless crowd-pleaser filled with unforgettable songs like “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Till There Was You,” and “Ya Got Trouble.”
This amazing cast of 47 people range in age from six to adult. The show is visually stunning, from the costumes to the sets and props! You will not want to miss this fun, family friendly show!
Tickets are $20. They may be ordered online or at the door! Cash, check, or Venmo accepted at the door. Online tickets may be ordered at: www.FowlervilleTheatre.com
